As a senior technical product owner, you’ll combine your years of proven expertise with a never-ending quest to create innovative technology solutions through rigorous product practices from within the engineering team. You’ll know what good looks like, be able to translate broad product goals into deliverables with the software engineering teams. You’ll be passionate about clean design, engineering led innovation, customer centric delivery. You’ll understand what engineers are talking about, you’ll be able to navigate a technically and product rich backlog and help teams curate their solutions through the PDLC/SDLC. You’ll be constantly looking to re-invent and simplify and raise the bar.

You’ll be the site lead for a new team of engineers and architects as the program evolves to higher agile maturity, and help grow a highly inspired and inquisitive team of technologists who are already developing and deploying applications to the highest standards. You will maintain major stakeholder relationships with Product Owners within our product organization and with your deep knowledge of payments, technical design, and engineering delivery ensure the highest quality of backlog balancing business deliverables vs engineering excellence.

Primary responsibilities

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

Deep knowledge of the card acquiring and consumer payments space

Expert leader of people, able to communicate appropriately with Engineers and Senior Leadership alike

Expert with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM, LEAN, etc

Technical depth and ability to rapidly understand, design, plan and communicate the impact of solutions and technology

Experience of microservices based design and implementation

Experience on cloud native application design and implementation (AWS and other clouds)

Experience in end to end release of highly reliable applications including Design, development and testing.

Familiar with operations and ‘go live’ concerns for platforms and solutions
