The J.P. Morgan Global Index Research Group (GIRG) provides clients the ability to measure and monitor portfolio performance by leveraging award-winning fundamental and quantitative research trends in benchmark design. Our Fixed Income Index Research business, embedded in the industry-leading J.P. Morgan CIB Global Research organization is a commercial enterprise generating in excess of $50M revenue per year, with $1.5T of assets benchmarked to JPM indices with more than 600 active clients. Our analysts are thought-leaders in the Indexing lifecycle (from idea generation to launch) and are ready to liaise with clients in all stages of their investment cycle.

At the heart of what we do is build data platforms for capturing market data, supporting bespoke analytical models and constructing indices. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about data, driving architectural transformation and designing scalable platforms. You’ll be leading a global team of 20 engineers and working closely with senior business partners on a daily basis in understanding and supporting the firm’s initiatives to offer best-in-breed index solutions to our clients. You’ll need deep product knowledge in the Fixed Income market (particularly bond and portfolio/index analytics) to ensure requirements are captured and complexity is articulated clearly. The successful candidate will also need to have strong analytical and technical skills for developing a deep understanding in how the existing platforms work. Using this acquired knowledge, you’ll be responsible for developing and leading plans to modernize systems and to integrate with in-house as well as cloud platforms.
