To help address this challenge, Digital Channels technology will focus on aggressive build out of the complex testing solution to streamline functional and non-functional testing and properly integrating them into SDLC for instant feedback.
We are seeking a Head of Digital Channels Quality and Stability Engineering for CCB, reporting to into the Digital Channels Technology organization. The individual will be a key member of our Digital Channels Technology team, supporting and modernizing Channels for ~55MM active customers, servicing 3bn requests per day, and close 90K logins/minutes. The Head of Digital Channels Quality and Stability Engineering will provide hands-on engineering leadership, driving technical architecture, development and maintenance of the variety of highly technical and complex platforms that enable automated testing for Chase.com and Chase mobile platforms. Specifically, the individual will be responsible for development of BDD frameworks for functional test automation as well as performance testing, ADA conformance, etc. These frameworks rely on the Domain Specific Language and need to offer numerous general-purpose reusable steps out of the box. In addition, this individual will be responsible for Channels Platform Health initiative that will ensure that both Channels and the partner Product Area teams satisfy application hygiene and resiliency requirements and minimize the “blast radius”.
Lead software engineering deliveries as we transform how we build software for the new Product Architecture with the hands-on execution responsibilities for the following across Digital Channels:
Automation of Post Validation Test (PVT) suit and post deployment validation in all environments
Automation of performance testing
Automation of verification of performance SLAs vs production volumes and SLAs
Automation of functional and non-functional regression based on bulk execution of production volumes and production click streams
Automation of Browser certification on Selenium grids (SauceLab)
Automation of ADA testing
Automation of Visual regression testing
Automation of contract-based testing for microservices
Engineering of mocks/simulators to reduce dependencies on end-to-end environments
Engineering of Chaos testing
Adoption of mutation testing to validate the quality of UTC
Engineering of the “end-to-end” functional test suites that could be shared between channels and product area group.
Engineering of the test environments on demand and deliver environment triaging tools
Establish process of constant improvements of Quality Assurance process to improve agility and drive down the number of production issues
Facilitate technical direction and decision making by ensuring engagement across architecture, the product teams, and other impacted systems.
Drive effective prioritization of work to meet product deliverables, while maintaining focus on stability and scalability.
Partner with Product Leads and General Managers to balance delivery with tech modernization and platform health.
Drive continuous improvements around processes, delivery, agility, and engineering practices.
Develop and execute talent strategy to ensure the organization is equipped with relevant technical and leadership skills.
Hands-on expertise in engineering solutions that face-off to a large number of external customers who use banking services in heterogeneous edge environments – network bandwidth, devices, OS, browsers, peripherals, etc and combinations/permutations of these environments.
Hands-on expertise in creating BDD frameworks for functional test automation.
Deep expertise in ADA conformance requirements and ADA testing
Must have experience using Maven and Gradle dependency managers as well as JForg Artifactory.
Knowledge of Pivotal Cloud Foundry, experience creating buildpacks and auto-scaling of execution
Hands on experience writing automation using Java/Selenium/Cucumber/Selenium grids
Working knowledge of Appium/Sauce Labs, SeeTest and TestFlight.
Experience with JMeter and Blazemeter performance testing tools/frameworks
Knowledge of Jenkins and ability to manage CI/CD pipelines
Experience with branching and merging source code repository strategies. Practice using Gitflow Workflow.
Ability to build dashboards using Splunk, Grafana, ClickView and Kibana.
Familiarity with Geneos, Dynatrace, AppDynamics and Thousandeyes
Knowledge and understanding networking infrastructure: DMZ, HAProxy, reverse proxy, load balancers.
Experience working with static and dynamic code analysis tools and testing for vulnerabilities.
Superior experience leading technology modernization of a mission critical, externally facing technology environment, one with large data sets, high resiliency and low-latency requirements.
Superior IT organizational management, talent management and relationship building skills, given extensive interfacing required with both senior members of the CCB businesses, Digital Products, and IT executive management.
Proven experience delivering strategic IT programs, delivering technology across web, mobile, and back-end
Minimum 20+ years of IT experience and related management experience.
